We do not take deposits on pups that are not born yet.
We do not take any deposits until we have fully screened our potential puppy parents and made sure they are a good match for one of our puppies.
PLEASE DO NOT PLACE A DEPOSIT UNTIL YOU HAVE FILLED OUT OUR APPLICATION AND WE HAVE CONTACTED YOU.
We require a $300 deposit to hold a pup. The balance is due before shipping or at pickup.
This deposit is simply to make sure you are actually interested and willing to wait on this puppy.
PLEASE MAKE SURE NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO ADD A PUP BEFORE YOU PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN AND BRING ONE HOME.DOGS ARE NOT LIKE FURNITURE....YOU CANNOT DECIDE YOU DONT "LIKE THE STYLE" AND TRADE IT IN FOR A NEW MODEL WHEN YOU GROW TIRED OF IT.
We put a lot of time, thought and work into raising our pups, and we want to make sure that the people getting them have put the same time, thought and work into welcoming them into their home.
Contrary to what a lot of people think about breeders, we are not rolling in money!!!!! When we get a deposit, more than likely it goes immediately to pay for vet bills, dog food, etc. Most times, we are supplementing breeding our dogs with money from our "real" jobs!!! (Yes we both work other jobs)
Breeding dogs (or I SHOULD say, breeding dogs the right way) is a very expensive hobby, but we LOVE it!
It seems that what happens sometimes is that a prospective puppy parent will put a deposit down and then find an older puppy they can get sooner, and want their deposit back. This is particularly disturbing to us, since it seems to imply that just "any old puppy" will do, and that the new family has put little or no thought into their choice of a breeder. Your choice of breeder SHOULD be the most important decision involving your puppy, NOT whoever you can obtain a puppy from the quickest.
Your breeder SHOULD be your resource for information, feedback, help and suggestions concerning your Newf pup for the remainder of your Newf's life. This is not something to take lightly. We spend hours on the phone with people who purchased their Newfs from less than reputable breeders. They have problems, and their breeder either cant answer their questions, or wont return their phone calls. We give these people the info they need for the sake of their Newf, but if they had made a better decision on their breeder, they would be calling them instead of us.
So, before you place a deposit with us, PLEASE be sure you have thought it through and made sure that you want this puppy, are willing to wait until it is ready to come to your home.
Also make sure you are comfortable with Cedar Valley Newfoundlands as your lifelong resource for information, tips and suggestions concerning your Newf.
When placing a deposit, you can always move that deposit to another litter if you decide that it would benefit you to wait, however, we do not refund deposits if you change your mind....find another less expensive breeder...a breeder close to home etc. Deposits are ALWAYS refundable if we cant provide you with the pup you placed a deposit on.
For pups that will be shipped, the balance due plus shipping is due a week before the pup is due to fly out to you. PLEASE NOTE....IF AMERICAN DOES NOT FLY INTO YOUR AIRPORT WE HAVE TO USE DELTA, WHICH IS HIGHER. Shipping is between $350-400 depending on whether its American or Delta...ALSO, SHIPPING INTO AK OR HI WILL MOST LIKELY BE HIGHER THAN THE PRICES ABOVE.
Depending on your location, we also can recommend a great ground transport company that can deliver your puppy. They deliver to Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, parts of Missouri (along the I-44 corridor as far west as Springfield MO....can sometimes deliver into other areas for an additional fee), New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia. Their charges are generally in the $175-250 range for a pup. We have used them in the past with adult Newfs, and they were awesome.

If you are having the Ground Transport company deliver your pup, you will also use the "BLUE "Pickup Balance Due" button below. You will then pay the transport company directly.
Prices including shipping vary depending on whether your puppy will be coming to you through American or Delta. Delta is more expensive, but they serve some areas that American doesnt. Also, if Delta offers a direct flight, but American doesnt, we will use Delta. We feel it is better on your pup to have a direct flight if at all possible.
The balance due plus shipping is $1550 if using American and $1600 if using Delta.
If your puppy will be coming via American, use the PURPLE American Air button below.
If your puppy will be coming using DELTA, use the RED Delta button below.
NOTE: When you get to the Payment Page on PayPal, please make sure the quantity is set to "1", and the amount showing up is the correct amount. If you have looked at the page before, it "remembers" and makes the quantity higher. If anything is wrong DO NOT make a payment. Call me at 314-437-5172 so I can check and correct any problems before you send anything.
